Anthony Caporrino, CPA

Managing Partner:

Tony is the Founding and Managing Partner of Grodsky, Caporrino & Kaufman, LLP. He has been the firm’s driving force since inception, and he has assembled a staff of specialists who provide the firm’s clients with superior services in the areas of accounting, audit, tax, consulting and compliance. Tony has over forty-five years of public accounting experience.

As a seasoned professional, Tony’s client base includes real estate development organizations, manufacturing and distribution companies, and service businesses, many of which are family-owned closely held businesses with unique concerns and accounting requirements. He specializes in providing tax planning and advisory services to entrepreneurs and their related businesses. Tony frequently represents clients on federal, state and local income tax examinations as well as sales tax examinations.

Tony is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). He has also served on several NYSSCPA committees, providing advice on subjects such as mediation and arbitration, managing an accounting practice, and creditors and other lenders. Tony holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Pace University.

He is actively involved in charitable foundations which support the well-being of children such as The Theresa Foundation, The Child Center of NY, Gift of Life and the Center for Developmental Disabilities, Inc.

Greg DeCastros, CPA

Partner:

Greg has over thirty-five years of diversified public accounting experience and has been actively involved in providing businesses and high net worth individuals with tax planning, retirement planning, management advisory, and estate planning services. Greg delivers timely professional advice to a client base which spans numerous industries including real estate, construction, technology, and professional services. Within the real estate industry, he has expertise in working with owners, operators, and developers, analyzing operating agreements and providing due diligence services on acquisitions and dispositions. Greg also has extensive experience in the area of trust and estate administration, including fiduciary income tax preparation and estate tax preparation, as well as a surrogate court,  approved fiduciary and guardianship accountings.

Additionally, Greg oversees all business operations for Grodsky, Caporrino & Kaufman, LLP including human resources, risk management, administration, technology and the related integration of software solutions.

Greg is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).

Greg holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland at College Park.

Anthony Graci, CPA

Tony brings over thirty-five years of public accounting experience to his position as the Partner in charge of assurance and attests services for Grodsky, Caporrino & Kaufman, LLP. Tony oversees quality control and ensures that all attest functions are performed in accordance with the highest professional standards. Tony developed the firm’s Continuing Professional Education (CPE) program, which provides quality ongoing education to all professional members of the firm.

Tony’s diverse client base includes companies operating in publishing, media, and healthcare. He has extensive experience in these areas and is well versed in the tax and financial issues unique to these industries.

Tony is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). He has proudly served on the Board of Directors for a not-for-profit children’s AIDS foundation.

Tony holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Hofstra University.

Paul Mazeau, CPA

Paul’s career at Grodsky, Caporrino & Kaufman, LLP covers a full range of professional services including audit, tax and financial reporting.  Paul works with closely held businesses in a multitude of industries with a heavy concentration in real estate and regularly assists clients in the structuring of complex real estate transactions.

As a dedicated member of the firm for over 30 years Paul is committed to ensuring that each client receives the very best personalized, professional service and attention. He has been instrumental in assisting the firm’s business clients grow and increase the value of their companies. Paul also has extensive experience working with individual clients to whom he provides professional advice and tax planning services.

Paul received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from LIU Post, is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
